We are delighted to announce that this week the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle Trust has signed an extended contract with the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company ensuring that Kingswear Castle will be operating from her base at Dartmouth on the River Dart for a further 25 years.
A spokesperson for the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle Trust said “After ten years of very successful operation by the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company this is fabulous news which locks Kingswear Castle in to running on the river for which she was built for a further, and much extended, period.”
Kingswear Castle returned to service in 2026 after the second part of a major rebuild which is designed to set her up for the next 25 years. The Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle Trust is now fund raising for future rebuilds. You can read more and how you can possibly help here.
